TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If cancelled up to 48 hours before the date of arrival no charges will be incurred, if you cancel later than this the first night will be charged. In case of a no show the total price of your reservation will be charged. A deposit, cancellation charge and other conditions may apply to certain rates, as specified charged.
Bookings of 4 or more rooms are classed as a group booking and have separate terms & conditions. Please contact the Globe for more details.
Payment of Accounts: Accounts can be settled in cash, MASTERCARD, VISA, DELTA or MAESTRO card. Regretfully cheques (personal or company) will not be accepted. We do not accept American Express.
We do advise you to take holiday insurance to cover the cost of your deposit and holiday.
Rooms are subject to availability and the Company reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
SPECIAL OFFERS & DISCOUNTED BREAKS
Any special offer rates cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
We reserve the right to amend or cancel any offer or discounted break without prior notification.
The Globe Inn will charge the cost of the whole stay in the event of a no show.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Rooms may not be ready until 3pm on day of arrival, but guests are welcome to arrive early (even for breakfast!). We will be happy to store luggage.
On departure day, rooms must be vacated by 10.30am, and late check outs will be charged at a rate of £10 per hour over this time.
Whilst the hotel brochure or web site is intended to give a fair representation of the facilities available, there may be occasions when certain facilities are out of use. Although every effort will be made to try and ensure that this does not happen, where it is unavoidable, then no liability shall attach to the hotel by reason thereof.
If you require further information about any particular facilities or their availability please contact well in advance of your stay so that your queries can be dealt with.
The hotel cannot accept responsibility for anything said to you by our staff outside the information given in the brochure or web site and tariff unless it is confirmed in writing.
All information given in the hotel brochure, web site and tariff is correct at the time of going to press, but services/facilities may be changed during the validity of the brochure.
The hotel is not responsible for any property lost on the premises.
Please bring your own beach towels.
The Globe Inn has a non-smoking policy. Due to current legislation smoking will not be permitted in any public area. Smoking is not permitted in any of the inns’ bedrooms. Smoking is permitted on designated areas of our terraces.
Where special arrangements are required, i.e. diet, room location, the hotel must be advised in writing. Whilst every effort will be made to meet these requests, they are not guaranteed and may be chargeable.
We love children at the Globe Inn, for the comfort and relaxation of all our guest we do ask parents to keep their children under control at all times.
The hotel operates the Challenge 21 initiative. The “Challenge 21” initiative highlights the fact that “if you are lucky enough to look under 21 you will be asked to prove that you are over 18 when you buy alcohol”. Acceptable forms of proof are: photocard driving licence, passport or PASS* accredited proof of age card. This applies to all residents and their children.
Dogs are welcome at the Globe Inn all year round. We do advise guest to check with Devon Council regarding what time of year & which beaches they are allowed on.
Your canine companions can join you in the bar or Garden Room areas.
Dogs can stay in our court yard rooms and they are charged at £10 per night for each dog. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the rooms at any time or allowed on beds or furniture and it is the owner’s responsibility to keep them under control at all times.
MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS
As the hotel is now open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance, development or refurbishment work taking place during your visit. We will do our best to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.
Please help us to make your stay a happy one: If something goes wrong on your stay please let us know before you leave so that we can try to put it right.
We cannot be held responsible for the failure of public services eg. gas, water, electricity etc. or for any disturbance which is beyond our control.
DAMAGE, LOSS & NOISE
Whilst you and your guests are at The Globe we ask that you make every effort to safeguard the fixtures and fittings. Any damage caused or refunds given due to noise will be charged for in full to the person in whose name the booking was made. Offensive or illegal behaviour may result in individuals or the entire party being asked to leave the premises.
